Spline Shafts

Customized by Feida Machinery factory , spline shafts are  mechanical components that have ridges or teeth and function by meshing with grooves in mating components, transferring the torque to  mating components.In addition to transmitting torque,they also have functions such as absorbing misalignment,enhancing strength,reducing vibration and noise,simplifying assembly and disassembly,axial sliding,etc. Our Spline Shafts series includes Rectangular Spline Shaft and Involute Spline Shaft.

Core parameter:

Module:M0.5-5

Precision grade:ISO/DIN 6-10

Number of teeth: the more teeth,the higher load capacity

Pressure angle: the common values are 30, 37.5, and 45 degrees.

Smaller pressure angle gives higher load capacity; larger angles are better for sliding connections.

Pitch diameter: the theoretical reference circle.

Two common types:

1. Rectangular spline shafts :Because of their straight-sided teeth with rectangular(flat)tops and roots,they  have the advantages of simple design,low manufacturing cost,and easy machining and inspection.

2.Involute spline shafts:They have involute curves (similar to gear teeth),rounded tooth roots,uniform pitch,resulting in self-centering  function,high load capacity,high strength,and interchangeability.

Application:

Involute spline shafts are suitable for connections with large loads, high centering accuracy requirements, and large dimensions. They are typically used in a wide range of applicaitions, such as automotive powertrain systems ,steering mechanisms,boat engines,propeller systems,winches,aircraft engines, gearboxes, differentials ,transfer cases,etc.
