Stepped Shafts

As a very common type of shaft component in mechanical equipment,Feida stepped shafts are solid or hollow shafts whose diameter changes along its axial direction, forming several shaft sections with different diameters. The changes in diameter between adjacent sections create shoulders or collars, resulting in a stepped structure.The shafts perform several important functions in mechanical equipment.

Main Structural

Journals: Is a section of the shaft that mates with a bearing.

Shaft Ends: Is the section used for mounting gears, pulleys, couplings, sprockets, and other transmission components.

Shaft Body: Refers to the intermediate portion connecting different journals and shaft ends.

Shaft Shoulders and Collars: A shaft shoulder or collar is formed where the diameter changes between adjacent shaft sections.

Keyways: Is usually machined into the shaft end for installing a parallel key.

Relief Grooves: Used to provide clearance for turning tools, grinding wheels, and other machining operations.

Chamfers: Are commonly provided at the ends of shafts and at certain shoulder locations.
