Linear Shafts

Linear shafts from Feida Machinery are long, rod-shaped devices that provide linear motion for different power transmission applications.Let us briefly introduce their main types as follows.

Solid shafts have no additional machined features and come hardened or non-hardened. Hollow shafts have open cores, suitable for reducing system weight and allowing wires, lubricants, and other media to run through them. Tapped end shafts have axial threaded holes, while threaded end shafts have external axial threads.

The machining process

Raw materials → Forging → Turning → Milling → Heat treatment → Grinding → Inspection → Packaging&shipping

Most linear shafts are made of aluminum, steel alloys, stainless steel, carbon steel, plastics, or other composites, and they are usually coated or hardened to improve durability.The common coatings include Anodizing, Black oxide, Chromium, and Ceramic coating.
