Sheet Metal Stamping

Sheet metal stamping from Feida Machinery factory is a cold-forming process that use pressure to a thin metal sheet (usually less than 6 millimeters in thickness) to cause plastic deformation or separation in a die, thereby obtaining parts of the required shape and size ‌.It includes three components :materials,the press machine, and the die.

This technique covers a variety of operations such as blanking,punching, bending, and deep drawing, and its notable feature is that the thickness of the same part is consistent.

Blanking is often the first operation to be carried out,which refer to cut a flat metal sheet into a predefined shape or outline, known as the blank.

Punching is functionally the same as blanking, except that the operational purpose is opposite, whose main aim is to make holes, slots or other internal characteristics in the sheet metal.

Bending involve deforming the flat metal sheet into a specific angle or curvature. It does not change the thickness of the sheet.

Deep draw stamping involves using a punch and die to create deep, cup-like shapes from flat metal sheets.

The common types of materials used for sheet metal stamping include carbon steel ,stainless steel and aluminum alloy. Meanwhile,different surface treatments, like electroplating, anodic oxidation, painting, stoving varnish, polishing, brushing can be made when needed.
