Carbon steel can typically be cut up to 20mm in thickness, and over 30mm when using high-power equipment.

Stainless steel can usually be cut from 0.5mm to 16mm, and the cutting effect on thin plates is particularly good.

The maximum thickness of aluminum plate is generally between 6mm and 10mm, and it needs to be combined with specific gases to prevent oxidation.

The greater the thickness, the higher the requirements for equipment: ordinary medium and small power machines are suitable for cutting thin plates. If thick plates (such as carbon steel over 20mm) are to be cut, a high-power laser with a power of over 3,000 watts needs to be selected.
