Metal Helical Gears

Metal helical gears from Feida Machinery are cylindrical gears with teeth arranged helically at a certain helix angle relative to the gear axis.They are mainly used to transmit motion and power between parallel or crossed shafts.

The teeth of the gears are at an angle to the gear's axis, resulting in a gradual engagement and disengagement of the teeth as the gears rotate. This design feature allows for smoother ,quieter operation ,high speed and higher load-bearing capacity.

Main Parameters

Module (m): Determines the size of the gear teeth and is one of the most important basic parameters.

Number of teeth (z): The total number of teeth on the gear.

Helix angle(β): The angle between the tooth line and the gear axis. This is the defining feature of a helical gear.

Pressure angle(α): Determines the direction of the force acting between the gear teeth.

Pitch diameter (d): The theoretical reference diameter of the gear.

Face width (b): The width of the gear teeth along the axial direction.

For proper meshing,two helical gears must have the same module,pressure angle,and helix angle,but opposite hands(one left-hand,one right-hand).

Materials
